OUTFIT: Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2016

Somehow I never manage to take decent outfit pictures at Wave-Gotik-Treffen. I'm usually too busy partying, attempting to figure out public transport, or trying every single alcoholic beverage at the Heidnisches Dorf. This year I decided to finally make an effort and dragged my Instagram husband favourite photographer Joshua along in between concerts so we could shoot a couple of pictures of one of my favourite outfits.
Blouse: Spin Doctor - Top (not pictured): Primark - Skirt: Dracula Clothing - Tights: Lip Service layered over Hema - Boots: Doc. Martens - Flower crown: Restyle - Bag: Killstar - Necklace: Voltaire/Alchemy Gothic
I have a couple of go-to looks for parties and other events and this is one of my absolute favourites. Instead of only wearing a perfectly decent outfit once, I try to improve it as I go along by changing small details and adding accessories. The flower crown is one of my latest additions and I am completely in love with it.

Ah, my dear old Doc. Martens. They look a bit worse for wear after ten years of service, but they are still the comfiest shoes I own. In fact, this entire outfit is incredibly comfy, and - most importantly for this year's WGT - quite warm. The hidden layers keep me from freezing without it looking like I've wandered slightly too far away from a polar expedition.

This year I also rediscovered on of my favourite pieces. I had almost forgotten about my trusty Voltaire necklace even though I used to wear it almost daily. And please don't mind my chipped nail polish, keeping my nails looking flawless was not exactly my top priority this WGT. How about you just try to focus on my amazing new rings instead.

And last but no least, make-up maketh the man, as every goth knows. After years of believing it looks tacky, I have finally rediscovered black lipstick and I couldn't be more pleased about it. Turns out it contrasts excellently with my current hair colour.

As usual, let me leave you with a photo of me derping around somewhere; this is me enjoying the rare sunlight on our camp site. Zero fucks given about how many goth points that last sentence will cost me.

Do you wear something new to every event or stick with a couple of good outfits? I used to try and come up with something new every time, but I've realised that I'm not creative nor rich enough to keep that up.
