OUTFIT: Welcome to Agartha

No matter how much I love the holidays, the excessive dinners get to me. I could do without feeling like I need to be carried around in a wheelbarrow by a couple of Olympic weightlifters. 'Tis most definitely not the season for crop tops, so a high waisted maxi skirt seemed like a safe bet for New Year's Day.

As a rule, I like to cover up as much of my skin as I possibly can. Unfortunately, showing up to work in a onesie is generally frowned upon. Luckily, maxi skirts are a thing that exist. I have to admit that I don't wear long skirts nearly often enough to do my fellow cultist goths proud, but that's mainly because I'm tiny. Long, flowy pieces of fabric make me look even shorter than I already am which is quite the achievement.

Crop top: H&M - Skirt: Asos - Cardigan: Bershka
Now, let me tell you about this crop top. I needed it with every fiber of my being from the second I saw it, because (don't laugh!) it reminded me of my favourite MMO. Not only is Tokyo one of the four mission areas in The Secret World, this top also looked so much like something one of my own characters would wear that I simply needed to own it. Desperately.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for geeky clothes. Buying things on a whim is not something I do regularly, though. I can't even imagine the consequences of buying everything I geek out over. That's probably why my Amazon wishlist contains more items than would actually fit inside my flat. But a goth can dream, right?

Have you ever bought an item of clothing solely because it reminded you of one of your fandoms, or am I doomed to walk to nerdy road alone? Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go sob over some romantic fanart of my OTP.
